Do I Really Need A Website?

Short answer? Yep. Long answer... here it goes...

I hear the argument of "I don't need a website, I have a Facebook page and that works just fine". Not a lot, but I do hear it. Kudos to you for hammering that tough project out! Having your prospective and current clients go to your Facebook page is a feat in itself, so way to go!!! I just hope you are posting on there regularly =)

Or another one "I get all of my clients through word of mouth, why do I need a website?" That is phenomenal that you are having enough referrals come your way through word of mouth to keep your business going! That is a huge accomplishment! What about the people who haven't found you yet that might be looking online for what you offer? How much $ are you actually leaving on the table.. or online?

Here is what you might not be thinking about from a marketing standpoint.

What do you do when you need to find something? You hop on Google or Duck Duck Go and do a search, right? So what pops up on the search? Yep.. usually a website.

That's why. By not having a website you could be losing out on a whole market of people that haven't experienced your genius yet! That's not good!!

A website can be used in a lot of different ways. Some think its a waste of money but really your losing money by not having one. Given the example above.

Here is another example... When I was taking care of my grandmother, she said this guy showed up on her doorstep and wanted to refinance her house through reverse mortgage. Excuse me? No, I want to see your credentials, business card, website, Facebook and LinkedIn pages. I will look on Better Business Bureau to make sure there are no negative comments on you. So, yes I did go into full detective mode, however... this shows the importance too of having a website.

But anyone can throw together a website and call it adding credibility... yep. Anyone can do that with a Facebook Page too... it's up to you as the consumer to make the decision to be their client or not.

OK so back to why. Another reason is SEO or Search Engine Optimization. This is how people find you online when they are searching for your product or service. The more engagement and slammin' keywords you have built in your website, the higher up your website will show up on the search engine pages. We ALL want to be #1!!

So, bottom line, is this. If you own a business, you need a website. It helps with your online presence, and given the apps that we can add on to your website, we can make it work for you... which will help build engagement, which will help build your SEO, which will help bring in more sales and leads for you.
